Plain Dutch Weave is a special Stainless Steel Weave Wire Cloth method that combines the characteristics of Plain Weave and Dutch Weave. It has high precision and strength, making it widely used in applications that require fine screening and filtering. The distinctive feature of this weaving method is the different wire diameters for the warp (longitudinal wires) and weft (transverse wires), with the warp wires typically being thicker and the weft wires thinner. This design makes the mesh tighter, suitable for high-precision filtration or applications that require precise mesh openings.
The weaving method of Plain Dutch Weave combines both Plain Weave and Dutch Weave characteristics. Specifically, the weaving structure is as follows:
Thicker wires: In Plain Dutch Weave, the warp wires (longitudinal wires) are usually made from thicker wire. These thicker wires form the vertical structure of the mesh.
Arrangement: The warp wires are fixed in the weaving machine frame, providing the support for the mesh.
Thinner wires: The weft wires (transverse wires) are typically made of finer wire, with a much smaller diameter than the warp wires.
Interlacing: The weft wires pass through the gaps between the thicker warp wires, typically interweaving in a dense pattern. More weft wires are used than warp wires, creating a very tightly woven mesh structure.
Fine Interweaving: The finer weft wires ensure that the mesh is tightly woven and the openings are uniform, making it ideal for high-precision filtration and screening.
Machine Operation: First, the thicker warp wires are fixed onto the frame of the weaving machine. Then, the finer weft wires are alternately woven through the gaps between the warp wires, typically using a one-over-two pattern, meaning each weft wire passes through two warp wires.
Tightly Woven Structure: The purpose of this method is to form a very compact and precise mesh by combining the thicker warp wires and finer weft wires.
Precise Mesh Openings: Because the weft wires are finer, the mesh openings are highly precise, suitable for applications that require high-precision filtering and screening.
Tight Mesh: Due to the thinner weft wires and thicker warp wires, the Plain Dutch Weave mesh is very tightly woven, resulting in excellent filtration.
Uniform Mesh Openings: The design of this weaving method ensures that the mesh openings are uniform and consistent, ideal for applications requiring precise mesh opening sizes.
